The larch tree is a favorite in Northwest Montana. It looks rather like a pine, but when its needles turn gold in the fall, the mountains light up. Larch makes excellent firewood, and sitting by a larch fire is conducive to a simple life in nature and reflection.
A larch fire can also bring to mind the Path of Fire and Light, a sadhana in the Tradition of the Himalayan Masters.
